Single Minded

A collaborative work in progress about being single by choice

Society doesn't distinguish between people who choose to be single as a lifestyle choice and those who are unhappily single and 'looking for love'.

Use of the same word - single - for both relationship orientations means intentional singles are often wrongly subjected to the lonely-heart single stereotype and its assumptions.

To the contrary, many people are happily single - it is just as possible to be content and single as content and married / in a partnership.

This project aims to capture the meaning of intentional singlehood from those that have made this lifestyle choice, and bring together an assortment of findings to produce a collage.
